A Server at Fairmont Banff Springs is responsible for providing all guests with an incomparable dining experience. Our Servers are dynamic and passionate in their approach to Food & Beverage service, constantly turning a diner’s meal into a memorable experience by treating each person individually and catering their interaction.

What you will be doing:

Complete Daily Operations (i.e. opening and closing duties, stocking, polishing, cleaning and maintaining walk-ins, fridges and other areas as assigned by the MOD)

Meet and greet guests and coordinate with other colleagues and MOD regarding preferences, allergies and special occasions

Have full knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods

Maintain quality and timeliness of service and practice effective up selling and suggestive selling techniques to drive outlet revenue

Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures

Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Server in a high-volume and fast paced environment required

Must have Pro-Serve Certification

Previous point-of-sale system experience required

Extensive wine, beer and cocktail knowledge is essential

Must be able to carry and serve 3 plates at one time

Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
