Job description: The Shipping & Receiving position performs the logistics activities in Edmonton. This includes shipping, receiving, customs clearance and returned goods.

The Shipper Receiver position is focused on managing the incoming and outgoing parts linked to customer orders and shop service work in our Edmonton service centre. Responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, order picking, packing and inventory control.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

• Monitor and control inventory
• Manage and coordinate shipping and receiving
• Work with suppliers, customers and customs brokers as required to maintain and improve the supply chain
• Safely operate material handling equipment as required

ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENTS

• Reports to Purchasing & Logistics Manager Alfa Laval Inc (Canada)
• Must be able to work in a self-managed environment and able to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be confident and capable of developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to achieve goals
• The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with other Alfa Laval distribution centres and factories

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED

• High School Diploma
• Valid operator license for forklifts and cranes
• WHMIS training
• TDG certificate

Type and Length of Experience:

• 2 years shipping & receiving experience
• Inventory management experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Working knowledge of M3/Movex Excellent verbal and written communication skills Safety mindset Quality mindset

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

Required to lift 40 pounds in daily routine Required to work in cold and hot climates

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
