Responsibilities

The Short Order Cook in Central Food Production is responsible for the ingredient control of recipes which includes the measuring and portioning of recipe ingredients and the production of food items for the patient menu. The Short Order Cook is also responsible for following cost control procedures, food handling procedures and providing overall customer service according to departmental standards.

  • Frequent physical demands including extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and transferring food supplies throughout the shift.

Qualifications

  • Grade XII
  • 1 year relevant experience required
  • Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
  • Communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours of Work

Permanent, part-time 70% position; 52.5 hours bi-weekly

Salary Information

$20.25 – $22.50 hourly
