Position: Site Superintendent Location: Downtown Toronto Salary Range: $180,000 – $220,000

Job Summary: As a Site Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our high-rise residential construction projects in Downtown Toronto. Your leadership, technical expertise, and effective communication will ensure that our developments are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee and manage all aspects of on-site operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and driving the project forward.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and direction to on-site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project goals are met and exceeded.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure project plans and specifications are followed.
• Monitor daily progress, schedule adherence, and quality of work, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
• Foster a strong safety culture, implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
• Manage project resources, equipment, and materials, optimizing their utilization and coordinating timely deliveries.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being executed according to design, specifications, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, change orders, and other project-related records.
• Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Liaise with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and inspectors to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
• Cultivate positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members, fostering a collaborative and cooperative work environment.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in high-rise residential construction projects, with a strong emphasis on mid- to high-rise buildings.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes, particularly within the Toronto area.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and facilitate effective collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy in documentation and adherence to project specifications.
• Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
• Relevant certifications in construction management, safety, or related fields are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
