Essential Responsibilities
- Perform various highway construction tasks including raking, shoveling, unloading trucks and small maintenance tasks
- Operate various highway construction equipment safely
- Assist with traffic control procedures
- Operate skid steers as needed
Qualifications
- Previous labour experience within a highways setting
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, and ability to provide a clean driver’s abstract
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Able to incorporate health and safety concepts into all work activities
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Work Conditions
- Candidates local to the Greater Vancouver area is preferred, as work is mainly in Delta and Burnaby, BC areas
- Candidates should be flexible to work day and night shifts
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
- Work will run into late 2022
