We currently have a Temporary Full-Time(Until approx. October 2021) opportunity for a Social Worker in the Mobile Health Unit at our Bayview Campus.
Hours of Work:
Weekday: Days; 8hrs; As per schedule
Summary of Duties
The temporary full time SW position is a new role at Sunnybrook designed in response to the COVID 19 pandemic as we are specifically seeking a SW, if required, to be a part of the interprofessional team in our new provincially sponsored Mobile Health Unit (MHU) or temporary field hospital.
The successful candidate will demonstrate superior problem solving and creative solutions to possible issues that arise in working within this innovative context. An orientation will be provided and coaching/mentoring and support will be provided through the program leadership and the Professional Leader for Social Work.
Qualifications/Skills
- Registered in good standing with the OCSWSSW
- Masters of Social Work required
- Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work effectively in a person centered care environment in various clinical settings with a multidisciplinary team managing multiple demands and changing priorities, while being flexible and adaptable.
- Demonstrated commitment to person centered care approaches and principles
- Excellent psychosocial assessment and intervention skills within an acute care context
- Demonstrated skills in managing complex systems and complex care coordination
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and coworkers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Demonstrated interest in personal and professional development.
- Demonstrated interest in research and quality improvement
