As a Solution Architect for our PCL Industrial Management Inc. office in Edmonton, AB, you should have solid experience in Microsoft Azure and Cloud-based services. You will work in our infrastructure team and be involved with our DevOps, Engineering, and Data Science teams. The ideal candidate will contribute to our team by:

• Being an experienced leader who has proven skillsets in Microsoft Desktop and Azure Cloud environments
• Having a vision for digital transformation
• Developing and presenting technical solutions to the DevOps team utilizing Microsoft specific configuration tools
• Performing required research and investigation to identify and create technical solution proposals base on provided requirements
• Applying technical knowledge and business insights to support the deployment and administration of our Cloud/WEB solution
• Ensuring all solutions exhibit high levels of efficiency and meet PCL’s security standards
• Collaborating with DevOps and Development in enhancing our Desktop, Cloud and WEB products
• Maintaining technical skills and knowledge of market trends
• Ensuring proper documentation is created and maintained

Knowledge:

• Deploying, configuring, and monitoring Azure Cloud Services
• Work closely with our Corporate Business Technology group to manage Azure hosted VM’s and supporting network architecture
• Ability to design and manage hosted VMs
• High competence in PowerShell script
• Networking configuration and support with Firewalls, Routers and Switches
• Work with Spark and Databricks

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

• Experience in enterprise business solution space
• Experience in Windows Desktop and Microsoft Azure Cloud technical solutions
• Experience with Microsoft 365
• Knowledge/experience in Support Ticketing System
• Experience with Virtualization platforms
• Understanding of Private Cloud platforms
• Administration experience of Windows
• Knowledge with security solutions
• Supervision experience
