Horizon Recruitment has a customer with an immediate requirement for a Senior Project Procurement Specialist (Pipeline Construction) to provide expertise on a consulting basis for a 12 month term starting immediately. As part of the strategic sourcing and procurement group, the Senior Procurement Specialist will work with a team responsible for high value tendering efforts. The successful candidate will provide RFx support on a variety of category items in pipeline construction. We are looking to partner with a relationship builder who is able to operate effectively in a complex organization with multiple influences and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the tendering process for goods and services for pipeline construction/replacements
• Make amendments to high valued contracts
• Consult on cost savings practices throughout the project
• Review tenders, score and award appropriately based on evaluation criteria
• Promote and develop contact with vendors
• Assist executive in establishing vendor management strategies
• Prepare, or assist in the preparation of procurement related reports
• Collect and reports statistics to measure commodity and/or supplier performance.
• Manage vendor relationships on behalf of projects in various cities in the USA

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in project procurement
• Experience working on various projects
• Knowledge and experience with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
