Here’s how a(n) Subcontractor Default Insurance/Claims Coordinator (Credit Analyst) for our Solar Canada office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

Maintain and update subcontractor prequalification database

Review qualification submissions

Outreach and communicate with subcontractors as needed to review and obtain prequalification information, including financial statements

Evaluate subcontractor capacity and assist in developing project-specific risk mitigation plans

Meet with internal teams to understand prequalification requirements

Conduct Risk Mitigation audits internally as required

Liaise with credit associations and references

Prepare reports on prequalification status, subcontractor utilization, and other internal reporting as required

Assist with presentations on the prequalification process

Monitor subcontract values, subcontract security and risk mitigation plans

Oversee activities related to handling and processing of insurance claims

Function as liaison between the organization, insurance providers and policyholders

Other duties as required

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience in credit management strongly preferred, Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or working towards completing it is an asset

Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering is considered an asset

Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines

Strong customer service skills; comfortable and capable of telephone outreach and communication with subcontractors

Team player with effective interpersonal skills

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and professional judgment

Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information

Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook

Knowledge of the construction industry is considered an asset

Knowledge/experience with Oracle, Enterprise One software and Compass software is considered an asset
