FUNCTIONAL SCOPE

Throughout the summer season, as staffing needs change, our operating lodge may need staff to call upon to fill-in for a variety of roles. If you have a background in kitchens, hotels, or high-end hospitality settings, or as a Massage Therapist, there may be a position for you at CMH.

This is a seasonal, on-call, as needed job opportunity for various positions.

Our summer season will run from July 12 to August 27, with meals and accommodation provided during work shifts. A daily rate of pay is offered and it is based upon a 10-hour or 11-hour work day depending on position. All shifts are worked as a split shift.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Develop a fun and interactive environment for guests and staff.
• Fulfill guest requests and exceed customer experience expectations.
• Efficiently manage cleaning responsibilities daily.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to assist in other roles in the lodge, as needed.
• Perform tasks associated with radio duty and supporting field operations.
• Support the dinner service by serving food, clearing plates, and cleaning-up afterwards.
• Follow OH&S, food safe, and WHMIS standards.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Safe Certificate.
• A passion for customer service excellence.
• Excellent communication skills; able to receive and act on feedback.
• Experience working in a remote setting, preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job is in a remote area of the BC wilderness. Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area.

Work Environment:

• Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on the needs of the business.

COMPENSATION

A competitive daily rate will be provided, with 4% vacation pay and opportunities to heli-hike, as available.
