Position Summary

Scotiatrust is the administrative agent of Aqueduct Foundation, which is a Canadian public foundation with donor advised funds. As a Trust Associate, you provide proactive administrative and client service support. While discussions with donors, advisors and the business community will generally be the responsibility of the Trust Officer, the Trust Associate will frequently deal with external contacts, gather and relay information.

Key Accountabilities:

• Administration and Relationship Management Support

• Assist with providing a best in class, proactive and personalized experience to donors, exemplified by timely and accurate account administration coupled with demonstrated technical expertise, personal integrity and an ability to respond to donor needs and concerns.
• Process high volumes of charitable donations and grants
• Create/input accurate and timely accounting entries, referring all unusual items for further action
• Prepare routine correspondence and documentation
• Assemble information regarding new donor advised funds
• Prepare Excels for the new calendar year
• Assist with foundation reporting
• Assist multiple manager tasks

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen relationships
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education/Experiences:

• High School Graduate
• Enrolment in Finance courses
• Working knowledge of asset management and administrative procedures
• Basic knowledge of Trust Accounting principle
