FUNCTIONAL SCOPE

Throughout the winter season, as staffing needs change, CMH lodges are often in need of staff to call upon to fill-in for a variety of roles. If you have a background in kitchens, hotels, or high-end hospitality settings, or as a Massage staff, there may be a position for you at CMH.

This is a seasonal, on-call, as needed job opportunity for various positions.

The CMH winter season runs from late-November to late-April with meals and accommodation provided during work shifts. A daily rate of pay is offered and based upon a 10- or 11-hour work day depending on position. All shifts are worked as a split shift, and most shift rotations are one week in length, though some lodges vary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, preferred.
  • Food Safe Certification.
  • A passion for customer service excellence
  • Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining, preferred.
  • Experience working in a remote setting, preferred.

Working Conditions

This type of culinary work is challenging and demanding. Successful staff are intrinsically motivated by a passion for food service and creating memorable experiences with our guests.

Work Environment:

  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job-specific equipment on a constant basis.
  • This job is in a remote area of British Columbia. Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area for work shifts.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

Compensation

A competitive daily rate will be provided, along with 4% vacation pay and opportunities to heli-ski, as available. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
