Job description: Yard Operations Manager
Salary: $65 – $75k + Bonus (up to $15k)Location: Sidney, BC
Job Summary:
This is a full-time Management position responsible and accountable for all functions that support shipping and receiving of shoring and scaffolding equipment for clients on Vancouver Island. You will be accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of all shipments to and from the yard prioritizing loading functions and material counts. Lead by example in the yard to ensure that process and systems are utilized to maintain organization, accuracy and efficiency in the operation of the site.
Must Have:
- Minimum 5yrs of experience in Construction
- Min 2 years in Leadership position
- Forklift Experience (or proven ability to operate machinery)
- MS Office
Nice to have:
- Concrete/Shoring Experience
- Scaffold Experience
Responsibilities:
- Execute efficient operations resulting in timely shipments and accurate inventory
- Manage operations of the Yard and the Office
- Manage a team of 8 staff (7 yard and 1 office)
- Communications with Senior leadership
