WalkerHealthcareIT is seeking a Technical Project Manager/IT Project Management Lead for our client located in Louisville, KY. This is contract-to-hire opportunity.

The IT Project Management Lead oversees various IT projects and/or programs of a highly complex nature. The IT Project Management Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER/IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT LEAD JOB SUMMARY

The IT Project Management Lead is an inspirational leader who assembles and leads project/program teams, identifies appropriate resources needed, and guides the development of schedules to ensure timely completion of project work. Often actively manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks. Familiar with the program scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, and sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value. Can possess specialized knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

The person in this role will help guide transformation within the program from a project to a product program structure and in some cases mature agile ways of working while driving Agile lean best practices to ensure that we deliver the highest value.

The successful candidate will be a self-starting team leader, who works independently to guide the team with little guidance once a direction is chosen and is capable of building positive/trusting relationships with leaders and the teams they work with.

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER/IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT LEAD JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Requires a bachelor’ s degree and 5+ years of program leadership experience or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience being a people leader
• 2+ years’ experience being a leader within a SAFe methodology framework also with familiarity of traditional project and program management methodologies
• Knowledge of ServiceNow
• Understand release management, has experience with migrations, and familiarity with Salesforce
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to give frank and empathetic feedback and coaching
• Experience with managing agile programs at the solution level
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER/IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT LEAD JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Master’ s Degree in Business Administration
• SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification
• Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification
• Experience in the health solutions industry
