DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing infrastructure strategy, direction, hands-on technical support, as well as being a technical infrastructure architect to projects. This individual will be required to research and investigate technically sound solutions for business technology environments. Be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues that your team is unable to resolve. Be able to manage and oversee monitoring tools and services as well as perform remote diagnostics tasks. Most importantly is the ability to provide outstanding customer service by interacting directly with users and effectively communicating in a friendly manner back to the user in a clear, concise manner. Provide deskside support as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the VP to improve efficiencies and implement and promote positive change to existing processes and technologies.
• Lead and coach the Infrastructure System Engineers to improve efficiency and technical aptitudes.
• Manage and direct all IT Infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Design, configure, implement, all Infrastructure initiatives including; hardware, virtualization, storage, software, cloud, data continuity, disaster recovery, and virtual networking solutions.
• Manage and maintain the multiple enterprise virtualization and cloud environments, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring and optimization, capacity reclamation, high availability, fault tolerance, and continuity planning.
• Manage, maintain, troubleshooting, performance planning, capacity reclamation, and continuity planning enterprise storage and Storage Area Network (SAN) environments.
• Assist and/or lead in the planning, design, implementation and documentation of all new cloud and hybrid-cloud projects.
• Assist and/or lead in the planning, design, implementation and documentation of all new infrastructure projects and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot intricate system issues in a 24/7, mission critical network environment.
• Provide elevated technical support by taking the lead on system and infrastructure issues.
• Assist in maintaining and administering software and hardware inventories.
• Assist in enterprise licensing negotiations, procurements, and management.
• Issue logging, tracking, analysis, reporting and management.
• Maintain records and provide reports on repairs, down time, changes and updates.
• Creating and documenting policies & procedures, end-user documentation, installation instructions, system design documents, system & script documentation, and test plans.
• Identify opportunities to enhance, improve, and use new ideas and technologies within the environment.
• Prepare, construct, and deliver formal and informal presentations to illustrate ideas, solutions and issues.
• Monitoring and tracking scheduled system maintenance activities with applicable tools analyzing the duration and potential impact to customers and ensuring consistency with approved times for activities.

• 3+ years’ experience in an IT management position (infrastructure strategy, budget, leadership, hands-on)
• 5+ years’ experience managing Windows Server Environment
• 5+ years’ experience managing Hybrid Cloud Environments VMware, Azure

• 10+ years hands on infrastructure experience
