Reporting to the Vice President, IT Media, this Director position will be accountable for all TV and Radio Applications, and infrastructure supporting the Media space. We have 75+ Television stations and 105+ Radio stations within our dynamic portfolio. The Media space is undergoing massive changes as it moves into a digital environment, so supporting the business through this change will be a great opportunity for the right candidate.
In order to serve our customers, the incumbent will work in partnership with various vendors and Bell Media business units such as Product, Sales, Finance, Bell IT, and Corporate Security and in constant partnership with all of the Network teams.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the successful delivery of all IT projects within the Bell Media team to achieve both strategic and tactical objectives
  • Secure funding through the Media IPC gating process and follow through with assessments upon completion of delivery activities for Top 45 projects
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with Senior Executive teams within Media and IT, as well as with all team members involved in IT Delivery
  • Oversee Operational support team (Bell Media Business Process Help Desk) ensuring scorecard metrics are met for application availability & ticket counts are within established baselines
  • Budget management – Opex, Capex, YEEs, LRP
  • Delivery of CIO scorecard objectives – leadership, currency, security, application rationalization
  • Manage team talent, consisting of project managers, business analysts, solution architects and technical analysts, in their daily roles and with their long-term development goals
  • Support the team through continuous improvement initiatives, such as Agile delivery, Security and Privacy initiatives, per Bell IT directives
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment, in particular to continually reassess portfolio backlog priorities in response to market or internal drivers

Key Knowledge and Abilities:

  • University degree in Business Management or in a technical discipline or equivalent
  • 6+ years of people management experience, with strong coaching skills
  • Understanding of IT technologies and best practices
  • Proven ability to deliver complex IT projects, manage budgets and be able to communicate to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Recognized leader with the capacity to collaborate with multiple teams to resolve challenges, and build relationships with internal clients and IT partners to successfully deliver objectives
  • Very organized with an aptitude for coordination of initiatives across many teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Media space and the applications is an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
