This Clerk IV position is a part time (half time) temporary 5 month position responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the Adult Addiction and Mental Health services in the Stony Plain, Westview Health Centre clinic. On occasion, this clerical position may be required to support the Spruce Grove clinic. This position supports mental health therapists, addiction counsellor, psychiatrists, manager and other allied health staff. This front line clerical position is in a highly important position as it is the first level of engagement for greeting clients, AHS staff, partners, and other multi-agency professionals and will be expected to demonstrate supportive tone of empathy in approach to all. Therefore, it is important that the successful candidate have a working knowledge/awareness of the stressors of clients dealing with addiction and mental health concerns and be able to provide empathy to those waiting for services. A professional ability to cope in a supportive manner, while setting appropriate boundaries is integral to this position. This position requires strict adherence and sensitivity to confidentiality. The working environment is one of constant interruptions, short timelines, changing deadlines, which requires continual adjustments to the daily organization and prioritization of workload.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields. Additional Required Qualifications:
Computer proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Connect Care. Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of confidential clinical information required, must have working knowledge of HIA and FIOP. Must have demonstrated experience resolving complex client issues. Attention to detail and professional courteous prompt customer service. Demonstrated professional, courteous telephone skills required. Must have demonstrated interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize. Sound decision-making skills and the ability to make decision on situations and act as a troubleshooter. Must be flexible and able to meet the demands of changing deadlines. Must be able to purposefully work with colleagues, partners and clients to achieve shared goals. Must be willing to work and be a part of a team. Must have proficient use of the English language oral and written. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Addiction and Mental Health care setting experience preferred. Trained in Edit Script and ePeople payroll experience preferred.
