Job description: Role Summary
The role of the IT Specialist is to deploy and support multi-dwelling senior living retirement homes installations at client locations. Services provided include telephony, internet connectivity and television services. We are looking for a personable, positive attitude, well-read, go-getter individual who can understand and address customer requirements to maximize customer experience.

Main Responsibilities
· Initial configuration and customizations surrounding all aspects of Asterisk, including extensions, trunks, voice mail and recording, simple or advanced dial plans, and various features and customization options supported
· Configuration and management of wifi and wired networks
· Triage reported support issues with a diagnostic evaluation, address technical issues, and provide end user education and instruction, as the need may be. This may also involve troubleshooting IPTV, internet and IP phone application issues
· Conduct security and system audit on in-house and customer installations of our products
· Guide end users on procedures and policy for the administration and security of our products
· Scope, execute and manage technical projects, working with customer, internal team members and vendors
· Create and improve processes and systems to scale the technical support operations as the organization grows
· Daily support for service calls and will be asked to be on call on rotation for emergency calls.

Requirements

• Essential – Bilingual French – English
• Essential – 2 years experience – Asterisk command line
• Essential – Programming/scripting experience
• Essential – Must be flexible in case of work emergencies
• Essential – Knowledge of VOIP, Wifi and Networking
