Responsibilities

Lethbridge College is recruiting for one full-time continuing position within the Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta (NESA) program. The NESA Bachelor of Nursing Program is seeking an individual who has a strong passion for nursing and quality nursing education.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, innovative, and supportive participant within the nursing program and within the Centre for Health and Wellness. Job Duties

• Provides teaching in maternal/child, pediatric, sub-acute and/or rural settings.
• Teaches nursing courses across the curriculum, including theory, lab, and clinical
• Provides supervision and mentorship in classroom, clinical, and/or lab settings.
• Applies and evaluates effective teaching strategies.
• Encourages and fosters an environment of inquiry, valuing evidence-informed practice.
• Engages as a member of a larger faculty team in the development and implementation of course-related or curricular initiatives
• Participates in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or applied research activities.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or related health discipline completed or close to completion
• Bachelor of Nursing (BN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
• 3-5 years Clinical Nursing Experience
• Eligible for, or current registration with, the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
• Class 5 driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of teaching experience
• clinical expertise in maternal/child, medical/surgical areas

Salary Commensurate with education and experience according to the Faculty Collective Agreement.
