Now we’re looking for a Project Technician, with a few years’ experience. IT Project Technician We’re in need of an experienced Project Technician providing exceptional IT services to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the Greater Toronto Area. You’ll need a broad range of both technical and business skills, as well as the ability to work with clients and vendors to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget constraints. You’ll act as the face of our business as you work on-site and remotely directly with our clients on IT implementation projects centered around deploying computer systems and software along with working within a team to migrate clients to cloud environments. Your ability to anticipate clients’ needs while providing great customer service will be critical to your success in this role. Practically speaking you will: * Work directly with clients and vendors to execute IT projects on-time and within scope/budget * Configuring and deploying computer systems and peripherals, deploying and upgrading software, installing pre-configured network equipment, pre-configuring server and storage systems * Migrate clients to cloud hosted Citrix environments, server migrations (virtual & physical), ISP configs, application migrations/deployment, O365 deployment, O365 migrations, client office moves and setups * Provide post-implementation support and support escalations from Service Desk * Collaborate with team to assess process improvement opportunities * Keep manager informed of issues that may impact the organization This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with service desk analyst experience that is looking to take the next step in their career. Working with Vertex This is a full-time, permanent position with regular hours from 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday with flexibility regarding project schedules. This is a hybrid position, splitting your time between onsite projects throughout the GTA, internal office work, and remote operations. Our office is located in Woodbridge and provides excellent space to focus, collaborate, and prepare before site visits. We’re a team of highly motivated and talented people. Qualifications * 3+ years of experience in IT Support or System Administration or Project Engineer/Technician * Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Information Technology related program * Experience implementing IT projects for small to mid-sized businesses * Experience working with a Managed Services Provider * Experience working with law firms and legal application/workflows is an asset * Understanding of Network Architectures * Windows Active Directory and GPO’s * Microsoft Certifications * Excellent written and oral communication/customer service skills * Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (milage reimbursement) How to Apply Our online application gives you the chance to apply as more than just a resume.
