With thousands of experts around the world and high-performance digital technology, ABB’s team is dedicated to making measurement easy for its industrial and energy customers to let them operate more efficiently and profitably.As part of your duties, you will provide general administrative support to the Measurement and Analytics division in Quebec City and secretarial services to its engineering team. You will act as a point of contact for requests, offer solutions to those within your scope and initiate escalation actions as required.Reporting to the General Manager, you will be essential to the smooth running of administrative procedures and processes within the business line: you will be responsible for assessing the level of urgency of issues while providing confidential support to the management team.
Your responsibilities

  • Answer phones, transfer calls and handle simple customer questions and general inquiries.
  • Reserve meeting rooms, schedule appointments and arrange catering for events.
  • Greet and register visitors and new employees and manage their access to the building.
  • Maintain copy and mailrooms accordingly, ensure office equipment is functional and appropriate inventory is available.
  • Coordinate with various vendors in the building.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and databases (training materials, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, SAP, etc.).
  • Provide administrative support for purchase orders, engineering contracts, billings, timesheet management and IT equipment and licenses.

Your background

  • One to three years’ experience in an administrative or assistant position.
  • Ability to multi-task and have excellent planning skills.
  • Friendly and approachable attitude, as well as a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to duties.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of computer tools such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
