Job description: Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support III is a member of a primary health care team based at or out of Strathcona Public Health Centre (SCHC) and also supports Fort Saskatchewan Public Health Centre. This position is responsible for clerical & receptionist duties including greeting clients, switchboard, booking appointments, data entry/word processing, records management & other related clerical duties as required. Eg. School & Influenza programs. This position requires proficient use of an electronic medical record & scheduling system. This position requires the employee to pack, lift, move, & transport heavy or awkward supplies to various work sites.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. Excellent communication, telephone, and organizational skills. The successful candidate must be able to lift, move & transport at least 20 pounds of equipment. Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, demonstrate professional image, exceptional customer service ability, be a strong team player and be flexible with the ability to adapt to change. Successful completion of a post-secondary secretarial or administrative support certificate from an accredited business school/college. Proficiency in the use of Meditech system is preferred. Recent experience in Public Health is an asset.
