Job description: Your Opportunity:
Provides clerical services for the Record Processing section of Health Information Management. This position may be responsible for one or more of the following tasks to ensure immediate access to patient information: process outpatient/ inpatient, day surgery, emergency and ambulatory care visit documentation, performs deficiency management functions, maintains control of patient records to ensure immediate access, maintains integrity of the Records Management and the ADT databases, filing, scanning and performs other related duties as required to support the Health Information Management Department. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:
Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent – Ability to pass site administered Medical Terminology Test. Typing 45 WPM min. – Ability to pass site administered Typing Test.Experience in Health Records or equivalent related experience with computerized systems. Must be physically able to perform duties involving standing, sitting, bending, and stretching for extended periods of time. Attention to detail and accuracy. Maintain a positive attitude in a busy environment. Good team player, exceptional communication and interpersonal skill. Preferred Qualifications:
