We are looking for an IT security analyst for one of our clients. This is a permanent position – salary between $80,000 and $100,000 depending on experience. We are looking for an intermediate-senior profile, a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position will be required.

Job description:

• See to the realization and application of the Information Security Policy: determine the objectives and priorities in the short and medium term; develop, develop and implement action plans to achieve the established objectives
• Be aware of the various legislations and regulations imposing information security requirements and ensure the updating of the company’s Information Security Policy in compliance with them
• Draft, adapt and ensure the follow-up of the directives, processes, standards, registers and other documents that make up the normative framework for information security
• Assist the administrative units in the evaluation of risks and threats that may affect the confidentiality, integrity, accessibility and availability of the information assets under their responsibility
• Conduct audits and spot checks to confirm the application and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and information security measures in place
• Take appropriate action following a major information security incident, in conjunction with the appropriate authorities
• Analyze security incidents and propose corrective measures

Profile description:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business informatics or any other appropriate discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience
• Very good knowledge of information security standards, methods, principles and repositories, including BS 7799, ISO-27000, CobiT and MEHARI
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written French
• Very good knowledge of technology environments and commonly used software
• Demonstrated planning and management skills
• Analytical skills, ability to synthesize and problem solving skills
• Objectivity and decision-making ability in a context of uncertainty
• Rigor, attention to detail and high professional integrity
• Autonomy in work, sense of organization and priorities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, on several projects simultaneously, in a team and with stakeholders from different fields of activity
• Interpersonal skills (client approach) and ability to obtain the collaboration of stakeholders to achieve collective objectives
• Respect of ethical rules related to the management of confidential files
• Expertise in risk assessment and security control and certification (e.g. CISSP, ISO-27000) (asset)
• Knowledge of the university environment (asset)
