Job description: Aaron Technologies is looking for a Specialized IT Consultant to join the team of one of our clients. Applicants must fulfil the following requirements.
Must Have’s:
- Demonstrated ability in:
- Experience developing Excel macros.
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL, ideally in an Oracle RDBMS environment.
- Strong Communication skills – fluency in French is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, work to improve structure and efficiency of an organization?s I&IT systems. The I&IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT. Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance.
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Technical Skills
- Some exposure to Oracle Hyperion Planning, in particular the SmartVIEW Excel Add-in.
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel.
- Experience developing Excel macros.
- Experience managing and administering user accounts, ideally using Oracle Access Manager (OAM).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL, ideally in an Oracle RDBMS environment.
Communication Skills
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in French is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing test plans and documents.
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining system documentation.
General Skills
- Familiarity with effective website design.
- Understanding of the basic principles of accessibility in IT applications.
- Above average problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to financial applications, ideally in a public sector context.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to financial applications – GL accounts, income statements
- Some exposure to Oracle Hyperion Planning, in particular the SmartVIEW Excel Add-in.
- Experience managing and administering user accounts, ideally using Oracle Access Manager (OAM).
