We operate two boutique style vacation homes properties in Sooke on Vancouver Island. Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina and SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort, proudly managed by True Key Hotels & Resorts.

We are seeking:

• Full-time permanent.
• Summer seasonal.

Anticipated start dates: March 1 through June 15

Seasonal ending dates: September 1 to October 31

Contract length subject to change based on the demands of the season.

WHAT IT’S ABOUT!

The Housekeeping team members are the heart of the operation as they work to elevate the guests lodging experience. The Room Attendant ensures that guest suites and public areas are clean and properly presented for guests. While positioned operationally behind the scenes, this role often has guest interactions and opportunities to promote a positive image of the property to guests by being friendly, professional and able to address problems or special requests

Our Housekeeping teams work at both the East Sooke and Sooke locations. We provide competitive wages along with a travel allowance for shifts worked at SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort (East Sooke).

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towel and toiletries
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, patios, barbeques…and yep windows!
• Vacuum, clean, dust and polish items in guest units / cottages
• Wash, fold sheets and towels, stocking supply rooms
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
• Perform rotation cleaning duties as required
• Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests
• Report anything needing repair

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Experience in a housekeeping department in a resort setting or related area is a strong advantage, but not required
• Ability to anticipate and deliver guests needs enhancing their home-away-from-home experience
• Passionate towards cleaning and delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in working towards a career in the Hospitality / Tourism industry
• Previous customer service experience is an asset
• Reliable and responsible team-based ethics
• Physical ability to work to bend, crouch, climb stairs and being in motion for prolonged periods
• Adhere to Sooke True Key Hotels Covid-19 Safety Protocols
• Physical ability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada to be considered
