Job description: We’re looking for a dedicated HR & Recruitment Administrator to support our North American retail team, an individual who will quickly and effectively resolve day to day challenges to allow our business to operate. No two days are the same at Mountain Warehouse, you will be a pragmatic problem solver whilst also being the central point of contact for all stores regarding operational and administrative information, quick response times are vital. This role sits in the middle, between Retail and the People Team, we are ‘agile’, ‘hardworking’, ‘quirky’ and ‘informal’.

Key focuses
- Work with all functions to ensure all new store processes are supported with the relevant training and communication.
- Build cross functional relationships to ensure you’re kept up to speed with business updates and act accordingly through effective communication to those that would benefit. Main stakeholders include District and Store Managers and the People Team.
- Report and manage store operational compliance and work with stakeholders to improve execution levels, including health and safety.
- Closely monitor all provincial and state legislation to ensure we remain 100% compliant with all standards and legislation across all administrative aspects of our business.
- Supporting all North American stores with their recruitment needs. You’ll have a great Recruitment system, but elements of the process and role are manual, and you will have to be flexible to work within the framework of both.
What experience do you need
- A sound understanding of HR legislation across all provincial areas.
- Understanding of a recruitment process and what’s required, from raising a requisition all the way through to issuing contracts and conducting background checks.
- Familiarity of an Applicant Tracking System is advantageous, managing and updating the ATS to ensure it reflects current vacancy statuses, set up new stores, user accounts and other related administrative tasks.
- Providing timely support to stores as well as internal and external stakeholders and suppliers via effective communication skills.
- Experience with monthly billing and invoicing is advantageous.
- The ability to keep on top of WSIB, Fire Maintenance and First Aid schedules and reporting.

- Confident in using your own initiative as well as being a pro-active self-starter.
