Role:

Our Client is currently seeking an experienced #300942 IT Change Management Specialist (Contract) for a 6-month contract in Winnipeg, MB starting in September 2021. The work may be completed remotely but the specialist must reside in Manitoba for the duration of the project. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience as a Change Management Specialist or equivalent: interacting with stakeholders to determine change impact requirements; creating, launching and managing communications plans that meet the overall objectives; and have Project experience orchestrating medium to large-scale change management. Valid Prosci (ADKAR) Organizational Change Management certification is a must have.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple stakeholders, including technical and subject matter experts, project teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of a products, services and associated change impact requirements.
  • Utilize the standard PROSCI, or similar, methodology and their experience to identify, plan, prepare, implement, and sustain changes including:
  • Developing and executing change management strategies and detailed change management plans
  • Identify and document all stakeholders affected by the change and the impact of the business changes on the stakeholders.
  • Assess stakeholder readiness for business changes and determine the potential risks and related strategies for adoption of new solutions.
  • Coach business leaders in change management principles and their practical application
  • Develop marketing and communications materials in support of objectives.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of change management strategies and tactics used to promote adoption.
  • Collaborate with the customer in developing a post-implementation reinforcement plan to increase the level of adoption of the new solution.

Mandatory (Must Have):

  • Minimum Five years’ experience with internal and external communications, public relations, journalism, or related role
  • Experience creating impact assessments, building change networks, conducting ADKAR assessments, measuring change readiness, and building and executing associated plans
  • Superior writing, editing and proof-reading skills for a variety of mediums i.e. scripts, web, articles, advertising, surveys, etc.
  • Researching, gathering, organizing, crafting strategic messages for variety of stakeholders
  • Creating, launching, and managing communications plans that meet the overall objectives
  • Project experience orchestrating medium to large-scale change management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines, under tight timelines
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent business and political acumen
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent listening, oral, written and presentation skills

Education (Mandatory):

  • Degree or Diploma in Journalism, English Literature, Creative Communications / Marketing / Public Relations etc.
  • PROSCI Change Management Certification
