Job title: Administrative Assistant
Job description: We are searching for an individual who can provide administrative support to a busy, weekly newspaper office.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record, commitment to providing exceptional Customer Service to both clients and readers. Work hours will be Monday to
Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. (17.5 hours/week)
Duties include:
– Customer service
– Posting payments and inputting to spreadsheets
– Answering phones and taking messages
– General administrative support for Circulation, Advertising accounts, Accounts Receivable and Payable
– Small bindery tasks.
– Assisting with organizing of papers for delivery every Thursday
Required Skills:
– Have proficiency in MS Word and Excel programs and with online applications and email
– Previous experience with managing Cash/Cheques and knowledge of accounting & banking processes are essential
– The ideal candidate should have organizational skills and be detail-oriented, be efficient at multi-tasking, and able to meet deadlines while working well independently and with a team
