Job description: SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Person who analyzes needs, develops and provides professional techniques relating to administrative methods and systems with the aim of improving the functioning of services.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

  • Support the manager in the implementation of procedures related to procurement;
  • Develop, improve and maintain an ongoing dialogue with various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Provide support to sites regarding global procurement strategies;
  • Develops and designs management tools and training activities for service personnel allowing the transfer of knowledge at the procurement level;
  • Recommend strategic improvements and changes to current procurement methods, standards and processes.
  • All other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration or other related discipline.

Experience:

  • Three years of experience relevant to the job.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Good knowledge of the Procurement/Finance module of the Virtuo system;
  • Knowledge of MSSS administrative rules is an asset;
  • Knowledge of administrative methods and techniques, procurement, reporting and information systems;
  • Good knowledge of procurement;
  • Skills in planning and auditing administrative procedures and program planning, including the development of policy and program guides, as well as quality assurance systems;
  • Ability to identify and analyze supply systems needs;
  • Have a good track record in procurement systems in a similar environment;
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills;
  • Have developed critical thinking as well as organizational and decision-making skills;
  • Good communication and knowledge transfer skills;
  • Excellent computer skills and the various applications of the Office Suite.

LANGUAGE

  • Fluency in English and French;
  • Fluency in the Cree language is an asset.

OTHER
Willing to travel 1-2 weeks per month to Cree communities in James Bay, if based in Montreal.
