The Cancer Strategic Clinical Network (SCN) is currently seeking a temporary full-time Administrative Project Support person for a 1 year position. This is an exciting opportunity to support a team as it designs the Alberta Cancer Diagnosis (ACD) program and pathways. ACD is a provincial initiative that will anchor all cancer diagnosis pathways and establish a single point of access for patients and providers.
Description:
You will provide administrative support to the Cancer Strategic Clinical Network (SCN) and the Alberta Cancer Diagnosis (ACD) initiative. This position will directly report to the Executive Director, Cancer SCN and take direction from the ACD Senior Project Manager. You will provide moderately complex administrative (day-to-day) support to the project team. You will need to deliver a high standard of interpersonal communication and must demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility and initiative and will deal with both non-routine and standard assignments. The position requires knowledge, skill, and ability to efficiently navigate the healthcare environment with a high degree of independence. The Project Support manages multiple schedules and meeting requests simultaneously, drafts emails, and responds to general inquiries and concerns. They will be required to use independent judgment and problem solve. Examples of project support tasks include: Managing complex calendars and scheduling meetings with a range of stakeholders including physicians both within and outside AHS. Assisting with planning and coordination of local and provincial meetings using multiple virtual platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams). Developing agendas, correspondence, presentations and various other documents as required. Coordinating the completion of recurring and ad-hoc reports, status updates, and requests. Developing and updating office procedures and processes. Providing administrative support (e.g. vacation coverage, expense reports, payroll, etc.). Position is a one-year temporary position. This position will work remotely (Work-From-Home) therefore location is negotiable within the province of Alberta.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum two years Administrative experience. Advanced calendar management skills. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio). Preferred Qualifications:
Other Post-Secondary Education in Business/Health related field is preferred. Working knowledge of Alberta Health Services systems and processes.
