Description:
The WHS CDA Administrative Support position supports AHS with the mandatory Communicable Disease Assessment Submissions & Escalations Program by processing CDA submissions for new hires. This position also provides backup coverage to the Administrative Support position of the Director and assists with the day-to-day operation of the WHS team in the assigned zone; providing a full range of reasonably complex administrative duties including, but not limited to: -BBFE on-call phone coverage during business hours & on-call schedule entry -RMS Management -e-People – Timekeeping -Calendar maintenance -Organize travel arrangements -Influenza Immunization, RFT & WCB Data entry -Transcribe, format, edit and proofread documents -Meetings (schedule, agenda creation, room bookings, audio-visual arrangements and transcribe minutes for distribution) -Assist in the development of WHS communications or other documentation as required -Provide vacation and task coverage as needed for the WHS Administrative team

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience with progressively increased responsibilities and a secondary education in Business Administration with designation as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent. The successful candidate will possess qualities in the following areas: Excellent communication/interpersonal/organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and balance workload. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent written & verbal communication-Above average attention to detail. Adaptability to change. Exemplary attendance & punctuality. Additional Required Qualifications:
As required. Preferred Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, e-People and RMS. Proficient in learning new software/programs. Experience in a healthcare/medical setting would be considered an asset.
