Job description: Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for a Screener to be the first point of contact at our ED building entrance to support the continued prevention against the spread of COVID-19. As a Administrative Support II – Screener, you will have the opportunity to use your exceptional customer service skills to communicate with patients, family support persons and visitors regarding their general feeling of health or illness. This will ensure our healthcare Centre stays safe and healthy for our patients and staff. In addition to screening patients with questions regarding their health, as a Screener you will also convey the message around proper hand hygiene and mask wearing. You will ensure entrants perform proper hand hygiene with alcohol based hand rub prior to entering the building. This position will be required to assist with mask wearing and educating on donning and doffing of masks. As a Screener you will ensure the COVID-19 Essential Visitor and Designated Family/Support guidelines are followed. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
