Job description: Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support III for Children’s Home Care will provide a variety of reception and clerical duties in support of the clients and staff, to facilitate the smooth operation of this program. Duties include such activities as front reception, data entry, filing and maintenance of charts and other clerical duties as required with the utmost confidentiality. As the successful candidate, you will report to a Home Care Manager. You will work with other clerical, clinical, and professional staff. You will complete word processing and formatting of documents. As the first line of contact with Children’s Home Care, your excellent customer service and communication skills will be used when you contact families and confirm visits and maintain office routines. Your flexible approach and well-developed organizational skills will assist in the completion of various other responsibilities, including, but not limited to therapeutic toys and equipment management, office and medical-surgical supply management and ordering, mail sorting/distribution, ESP scheduling system work, and data entry.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:
Office training is required. A minimum of 3 years recent office administration experience and proficiency in the use of computer programs is also required. Applicant must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software programs as well as meditech and ESP scheduler knowledge. Applicant must also have the ability to be an effective team player and be flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing environment. Excellent formatting, grammar, and proofreading skills are required. Appropriate phone etiquette and strong communication skills required. Must have the ability to deal with numerous interruptions and work independently in a busy multi-tasking environment. Physical demands of the job include: Sitting for extended periods Lifting office/medical supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs Using repetitive motions Lifting, bending, reaching and standing for prolonged periods. Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Meditech, e-people, Oracle and Home First is an asset.
