Job description: Your Opportunity:

If you are interested in working independently in a fast paced environment providing support to Continuing Care offices, this position may be of interest to you. As the successful candidate, you will work with a diverse team of professionals assisting with client data entry, records management and related documentation. Your excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) will be utilized when interacting with callers on the telephone and health professionals in the office. Your flexible approach and well-developed organizational skills will assist in the completion of various other tasks and responsibilities related to general office work. The successful applicant must be available to work Days, Evenings, and Weekends. This position involves repetitive motion tasks such as keyboarding and telephone use, walking and lifting.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:

A high school diploma with additional formal secretarial training, and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Electronic file management skills are required. Accurate typing speed of 50 wpm minimum is required. Must have the ability to be an effective team player, be flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing environment. Must also have the ability to deal with numerous interruptions and multiple tasks in a timely manner. Ability to work in, and enjoy fast paced, often loud and stressful work environment. Preferred Qualifications:

Alpha and numerical data entry experience preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with previous knowledge of Meditech and strong computer and keyboarding skills. Experience with a multi-line switchboard and/or a busy telephone system in a health related environment is preferred.
