Job description: Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Quality, Safety, and Education, the Administrative Assistant IV provides high level and comprehensive administrative support to the director and team of provincial managers. The incumbent is responsible for providing moderately complex secretarial and administrative support and is expected to ensure the effective and efficient management of a broad range of responsibilities. The incumbent is required to coordinate a wide variety of initiatives and issues and act as a direct resource to the Director and portfolio managers. The individual must provide a high standard of interpersonal communication and demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility and initiative. The incumbent will be required to manage urgent requests and ensure responses are provided in a timely manner, deal with both non-routine and standard assignments, and be required to use independent judgement in interpreting guidelines to meet objectives and problem solve. Advanced levels of Microsoft Office and SharePoint management are required to manage processes, tasks, and record management for the portfolio.

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education. Additional Required Qualifications:
Diploma in Business administration or related field. Five years of experience in similar department or field that demonstrates progression of responsibility. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Formal training and demonstrated advanced levels of Microsoft Office programs, and SharePoint. Strong track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Excellent communication skills including formatting, grammar, syntax and proofreading skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and produce high quality work under pressure while ensuring that all deadlines are met. Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications:
A working knowledge of: Alberta Health Services systems, structure, and processes. Ability to lead change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. General office policies and procedures including, but not limited to, financial policies, electronic communication requests system, Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP), human resources and expense claims systems.
