Job description: Your Opportunity:

As an Administrative Support IV – Reception & Booking Clerk Diagnostic Imaging; you will be responsible for providing patient registration and reception in Diagnostic Imaging and ensuring an efficient flow of both inpatient and outpatient Diagnostic Imaging procedures. You will also be responsible for booking Ultrasound and CT appointments. You must have an excellent working knowledge of scheduling software systems and exemplary communications skills with a focus on patient and family-centred care. Booking responsibilities will include but are not limited to, receiving the booking consultation forms, reviewing the information for completeness, providing Radiologists with the consultation forms and additional required documentation for protocolling and prioritizing, coordinating an appointment time with the patient and entering all of the necessary information into the booking system. Additionally, the candidate will provide a booking confirmation to the ordering physicians and patients, and communicate special instructions to patients and staff as required. Additional duties include answering the telephone and relaying messages, and receiving, sorting and distributing incoming mail. The successful candidate will demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with patients, staff and the public and will have the opportunity to work independently as well as in a team environment. Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields. Additional Required Qualifications:

Recognized Clerical/Office Administration course completion of Medical Terminology course; excellent working knowledge of computers and computerized patient information systems such as Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork. Demonstrated initiative, good judgment and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Ability to adapt many changes. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and adapt to stressful situations using tact and diplomacy. Receptive to new ideas and change. Preferred Qualifications:
