Job description: Your Opportunity:

As an Administrative Support IV, you are an integral part of the North Zone Emergency Medical Services team. Under the direction of the Workforce Planning Supervisor, you will be accountable for the day to day administration and operation of pre-determined staff scheduling processes. You will liaise with area supervisors, full-time, part-time, and casual staff to fill shifts due to vacation, leave of absence, illness, education, etc. In the Administrative Support IV position, you will be responsible for staff scheduling tasks with short time lines. You will be required to anticipate staffing needs, and communicate to area leadership about shifts that require further attention. You will also assist with office procedures that support the more complex scheduling and timekeeping procedures. You will be required to follow pre-booking guidelines, perform timekeeping and data entry for payroll, and be able to run reports as requested by managers to assist in their decision making about staff scheduling. You will need a strong sense of customer service and attention to detail to be successful in this role. Hybrid remote work model available; location within North Zone. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Location within North Zone; hybrid remote work model available.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields. Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in scheduling and payroll/admin roles in an EMS organization of significant size and complexity. Experience and competency working with Telestaff, payroll and e-People functions. Minimum one year staff scheduling experience. A working knowledge of the various applicable collective agreements and pay codes. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
