Provincial staffing services support the day-to-day scheduling tasks of AHS employees & managers. As the Scheduler Team Lead, you will provide critical expertise in the daily operations of the staffing office by providing direction to staffing clerks, monitoring workloads & determining clerk duties in collaboration with the SSC Manager. The successful leader will efficiently process payroll with timekeeping in ESP, analyze the time admin exception reports, investigate pay errors from a timekeeper perspective & make the necessary corrections for accurate pay delivery. You will provide scheduling support for Unit Managers, Unit Charge Nurses & Relief Team Managers to ensure unit work plans & staff schedules/assignments are up to date & maintained through ESP. Leveraging strategic communication & problem-solving skills will be key in the ongoing collaboration with Unit/Site Managers to resolve high-priority scheduling issues in ESP. Your scheduling expertise will enable the ability to anticipate unit staffing needs & communicate these needs effectively to your client groups. Dynamic customer service skills will also be used to fluidly support your clients in optimizing the use of ESP & helping to extract information from staffing/scheduling reports & related statistics. The Scheduling Team Lead will act as a mentor for peers & must actively promote & facilitate a positive environment in the workplace by fostering a team attitude of acceptance & tolerance. The Scheduling Lead will also be adept at maintaining cohesion by utilizing proven conflict resolution skills both within their team & for internal clients. The scheduling team lead will be assigned to support North Zone & the correlative SSC hours of operation.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:

1 year of full-time equivalent experience in an Alberta Health Services, Environment for Scheduling Personnel (ESP) Staffing Services Office within the past 5 years. Current working experience in the role of a Scheduler Team Lead within an Alberta Health Services centralized Staffing Service Center. Staff scheduling experience with demonstrated use of related scheduling applications. Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the applicable collective agreements and pay codes. Leadership experience (Delegating, Prioritizing, Coaching, Mediating). Successful completion of the Scheduler Team Lead training and orientation.
