We require an enthusiastic and experienced Administrative Support V for the Surgical Programming and Planning portfolio. If you have strong problem solving skills and thrive in complex environments that require creativity and innovation, this is the position you have been waiting for. As a member of the Surgical Programming and Planning team, your work will support both educational and operational components. The incumbent must be able to take initiative, work under pressure with significant demands and frequently changing priorities while maintaining a strong customer-service focus. In particular, the incumbent takes ownership of the day-to-day activities relating to the surgical training activities in CASES (the Centre for Advancement of Surgical Education and Simulation) and supports Edmonton Zone operative planning. This includes: managers, education coordinators, clinical nurse educators, the CASES medical director, and external stakeholders (such as post-secondary institutions and vendor partners, and students). Component parts of the role will include: acting as a resource for department staff, course and program enrolments and exam administration; creation of training courses in the MyLearningLink platform; managing multiple calendars; drafting, formatting, and editing correspondence and documents; preparing meeting materials and minutes; following up on action items. Experience with computerized physician billing, payroll entry and higher level ePeople functions associated recruitment activities and orientation of employees (e.g. submission of documentation and payroll setup, for CASES staff and Fellowship position), and knowledge of the department would be an asset.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:
Five years office management or administrative experience is required (at least 3 years of recent administrative experience at a senior level considered an asset). A combination of education and experience equivalency will be considered. Strong task analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with advanced proficiencies with advanced computer experience required including strong technical knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, including complex spread sheet management, PowerPoint & Visio). Knowledge of ePeople (RMS, payroll) is required. Experience with ROCA. Experience with physician billing submissions. Knowledge of administrative office procedures required. The ability to work and adapt with short and changing timelines, deal with numerous interruptions and work independently in a busy and demanding environment is essential. Candidate must demonstrate a strong customer focus and an ability to work within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree. Experience with databases (such as RedCap).
