RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Reporting to the Human Resources Administrative Procedures Specialist, the incumbent’s responsibilities include offering administrative support to the Human Resources (HR) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Division on tasks pertaining to RI administrative reception at the MUHC Glen Site, health and safety, and human resources matters.

General Duties

  • Act as main point of contact for requests related to the administrative reception and take action when necessary,
  • Greets visitors, manages mail and orders,
  • Places orders and ensures office supply inventory according to budget available,
  • Oversees petty cash,
  • Responds to queries related to locker bookings and room reservation,
  • Creates and edits content on the RI Portal,
  • Drafts and translates communications, memos and reports as requested,
  • Plans and coordinates meetings,
  • Prepares and sends payment and purchase requests and prepares financial documents,
  • Reviews and posts job ads on the recruitment platform, send CVs to hiring managers and researchers and updates recruitment files and tables,
  • Responds to, manages and forwards queries in the EHS generic email inbox,
  • Organizes, maintains and updates environmental health and safety records,
  • Participates to planning special events and activities,
  • Participates in the RI Social Committee,
  • Perform any other duty as required.

Additional information

Status : Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education & work experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Work Site: Glen
