Reporting to the CEO, this brand-new position will join a strong leadership team and play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of Eagle River Casino’s expanding operations as the new Eagle River Hotel moves towards its completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations across multiple departments, including gaming (particularly table games and poker), marketing, food and beverage.
  • Provide collaborative people leadership to a team of 5 department leaders.
  • Drive revenue through key streams, ensuring seamless operations and top-tier service delivery.
  • Engage directly with frontline supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of on-the-ground management and leading by example.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to bolster promotional events and elevate the casino’s marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate on the development and management of the new hotel adjacent to the existing property.
  • Ensure customer and staff satisfaction by being accessible, addressing concerns, and proactively improving service and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Casino operations experience, with a particular focus on table games such as blackjack, poker, and roulette.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the casino or hospitality sector.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and overseeing operations across various departments.
  • A leader who believes in fostering positive work environments and employee relations.
  • An enjoyment of wearing multiple hats, understanding that the role may involve tasks beyond the typical managerial scope.
  • A proactive approach, a willingness to be hands on and directly engage with both staff and customers.
  • The successful candidate will need to take the Alberta games manager licensing exam.
