We are seeking a Part-Time Bilingual Menu Specialist to join our dynamic team! You are likely thinking… “What’s a Menu Specialist?” Great question, as this position is pretty unique. Simply put, Menu Specialists are responsible for transcribing and updating menus for our point-of-sale solutions. It’s the job of our menu team to help our clients create awesome looking kiosk, cashier and tablet menus solutions through consultations, menu transcriptions, and content management. You will be responsible for configuring the menus of new and existing clients of our organization. Working with the Menu team, you will provide the best customer service to ensure menus are correctly set up to the client’s needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with POS systems and be able to take the client perspective when providing support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Effectively manage multiple client requests that arrive by phone, e-mail or the ticketing system
- Create meaningful interactions with our clients by introducing yourself and clarifying our menu input process
- Review all raw menu data as provided by client and create a plan for menu item input
- Contact client to answer questions and gather appropriate information to complete menu setups
- Input client menu data creating categories, menu items, promotions, and discounts etc.
- Be the first point of contact with clients for site problem resolution and seek assistance from the Menu Team Lead if it is not solvable on the individual level
- Provide recommendations to improve our processes and the client experience
- Deliver a positive can-do mentality in a professional environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Bilingual in English and French is required
- Completed Post Secondary Education in Hospitality, Customer Relationship Management, Psychology, Information Systems, or a related field
- Strong aptitude for navigating technology and learning new systems
- Excellent communication skills – both in written and verbal correspondence
- Good telephone etiquette
- Core commitment to client satisfaction and the ability to problem solve, think flexibly, focus on desired results, and follow up to ensure client satisfaction
- Previous experience working with Point-of-Sale systems is highly preferred
- Experience in a Food/Beverage or Hospitality environment is an asset
- Ideally, you’ve held a position in the food service industry as a quick service cashier, team lead or manager
