Job title: BRIC NS Manager

Job description: Reporting to the BRIC NS Director, the BRIC NS Manager will provide leadership, supervision and day-to-day management of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) BRIC NS Network.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the BRIC NS Network, including preparing detailed reports for funders and stakeholders, oversee the BRIC NS Student Research Awards funding competition.
  • Support and coordinate BRIC NS related knowledge translation activities and support the implementation of the BRIC NS logic model and indicator framework.
  • Coordinate and facilitate/chair meetings and events, including document preparation, record keeping, logistics, dissemination of results, oversight and management of Primary Health Care Research Day, BRIC NS Student Seminar Series, Primary Care Learning Seminar Series, etc.
  • Coordinate and facilitate BRIC NS internal and external communications strategies including updates and maintenance of the website, social media, etc.
  • Work with patient partners as part of the BRIC NS advisory council and working groups, recruit new memebers to Network.
  • Support researchers in the development of new research questions and proposal submissions.

Note

The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with approximately 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with multiple competing priorities and deadlines with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patient and community partners
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Word Press.
