Qualifications
1. Graduate of Community College secretarial or Office Administration program or equivalent office experience
2. Minimum of two year’s experience in a similar position in a health care setting
3. Medical Terminology Certificate 1 and 2 or demonstrated knowledge equivalent to the Medical Terminology Certificate 1 and 2 acquired in a different Business Clerk position, which may be subject to testing
4. Keyboarding 40 wpm
5. Demonstrated skills in using Microsoft Access statistics program, Excel, Word, and Outlook programs
6. Demonstrated ability in data entry and data quality checks
7. Mathematical skills related to payroll, budget, and statistical documents
8. Ability to take initiative, establish priorities and organize work accordingly
9. Demonstrated effective communication (verbal & written), interpersonal and problem solving skills
10. Ability to interact with various hospital services effectively and collaboratively
11. Experience in maintaining staff scheduling
12. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate behaviours consistent with HHS Values Based Code of Conduct.
13. Ability to maintain the confidential nature of the position
