Job title: Casual Recruiter – 20 to 30 hours per week

Job description:

  • Lead our global recruitment
  • Hybrid work pattern and flexible hours
  • Global advertising company working with an iconic TV platform

The Role

We’re on the hunt for a passionate and experienced Recruiter to lead our global hiring needs and work as part of a small team based in Toronto. Reporting to the People & Culture Director based in Australia, you will be responsible for all aspects of the recruiting process including the direct sourcing of candidates, identifying and screening candidates and managing candidate flow through the entire interview process.

This ain’t always a 9-5 gig – because of our global footprint and business needs, you will be sometimes required to work early mornings and/or late evenings to support our offshore markets, with plenty of flexibility offered.

This position may be suitable for someone who is currently completing their post-secondary studies in Human Resources Management or a related field or has another part-time role. The anticipated volume of our ongoing hiring is likely to support 3 to 4 days of work each week on a casual basis – the majority of which can be performed remotely.

Candidate screening will commence in early January 2024.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high volume candidate vetting through CV screening, initial interviews, as well as closing candidates by managing salary negotiations and offer processing
  • Prepare and manage candidates for the interview process through our applicant tracking system (we use JazzHR), which will include performing several administrative tasks
  • Provide effective and efficient best practice recruitment services through effective internal partnership and consultation
  • Research, propose and implement new proactive TA strategies to support our current and future resourcing needs, including local college partnerships, careers fairs and working with key external stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior leadership capturing key hiring metrics and recruitment trends
  • Perform key administrative tasks to support the timely onboarding of new candidates, including conducting reference checks and assisting with the preparation of new employment contracts
  • As needed, apply your HR generalist knowledge, skills and intuition to support a broad range of people-related enquiries and initiatives as part of the People & Culture Team
  • Provide a customer-focused approach, ensuring all internal customer needs are fulfilled in a timely manner

What you can do is more important to us than what you have done previously.

We value an open mind, a desire to succeed and good old-fashioned hard work over a laundry list of skills. If you think you have what it takes but don’t tick every box, then we absolutely encourage you to give us a shot. We’d love to meet and get to know the real you, as well as see what else is in your toolbox.

Our Qualifications and Experience Wishlist
