BC Mail Plus operates as a fully cost recoverable program, establishing policies and standards for the efficient management of government mail. Customers include government ministries, boards, agencies, commissions, Crown Corporations, and publicly funded organizations.
The Senior Finance and Administration Clerk is responsible for providing financial support services for BC Mail Plus.As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll supervise administrative and financial functions for district supervisors and staff providing important social programs to British Columbians. An efficient and versatile collaborator, you successfully establish and maintain important working relationships with a variety of individuals to complete work assignments. You have an outstanding eye for detail and ensure that all material and communication is consistently of high quality.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of three (3) years’ clerical/administrative support experience or combination of education/training and experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping or combination of education/training and experience.
- Experience managing multiple projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel at an intermediate or advanced level. (Intermediate includes: working with multiple worksheets, finding and replacing data, sorting and filtering database, setting up data validation, creating chart. Advanced includes: exporting and importing data, working with various complex charts and tables, working with pivot tables and pivot charts, working with macros).
- Experience with a financial application. Preference may be given for a minimum one (1) year experience with SAP Financial Environment.
Preference may be given for:
- Experience using administrative and organizational filing systems.
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- Recent experience (gained within last three (3) years) working in a large organization with emphasis on performing reconciliations of invoices and data entry.
