Position Summary:
The Construction Project Coordinator is crucial in backing our project management teams, ensuring our high-rise residential projects not only meet aesthetic and functional standards but also align with the Ontario Building Code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead coordination efforts specific to high-rise residential projects, ensuring all activities comply with the Ontario Building Code.
- Act as the liaison between project managers and Ontario Building Code consultants to guarantee that all high-rise projects are in full compliance.
- Break high-rise projects into feasible tasks, ensuring that each stage adheres to the Ontario Building Code’s stipulations.
- Serve as the primary contact for all Ontario Building Code related queries for the high-rise residential projects.
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator in high-rise residential developments.
- In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code with a focus on regulations and standards pertaining to high-rise residential structures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong ability to navigate and interpret the complexities of the Ontario Building Code as they apply to high-rise projects.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
