Our Vancouver-based client is one of the fastest growing land development companies in BC, with an extensive pipeline of projects. Their unique focus is on modern green construction, providing a full range of services from acquiring development sites to construction and everything in between. Our client is searching for their next Project Manager superstar.

-Participate in weekly team and construction meetings and report on project delivery status, scope challenges, delays, and upcoming deadlines.

-Work with the sales team and project coordinators to help quote construction projects and establish project scopes for client communications.

-Collaboration with the design team members throughout the preconstruction phases. Includes coordination of the scope of work as it relates to the remaining trades to ensure no gaps or overlaps in the project documents and budget.

-Development of project estimates early in the design process. Includes, analyzing drawings and providing a detailed budget.

-Budget development for defined scope of work as projects progress through design. Will be responsible for reconciling budgets throughout the preconstruction phases.

-Review of all project documents including drawings, specifications, and technical documents from each trade/manufacturer to ensure constructability and coordination.

-Manage contracted work crews for installation, including all aspects of job preparation, project-related training and preparation (e.g. safety and security).

-Work closely with General Contractors and other sub-trades on projects to coordinate scope expectations and integration,

-Coordinate with other trades on site (e.g. electricians, drywallers, vendors etc.) to ensure seamless project delivery.

-Work closely with designers to develop solution quotes, plans, and designs, construction drawings, and solution orders.

-Manage deficiencies, change orders, punch list items and resolutions with our vendors.
Requirements for the job:
-(5)+ years of experience as a construction project manager
-degree or diploma in a related field
-management skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
-strong knowledge of health and safety regulations (updated certification if possible)
-understanding of contracts and experience managing contractors
-demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
-ability to read blueprints, schematics, drawings and plans
-strong attention to detail
-valid driver’s license
