Job description: Pharma Medica Research is a full service contract research organization specialized in conducting early phase clinical trails in healthy volunteers, special and patient populations. We are currently looking for a Cook to join our clinic location in Scarborough.
The Meal Cook provides all necessary dietary requirements for clinic studies according to study protocol and guidelines at Pharma Medica Research Inc. (PMRI). This position reports to the Supervisor, Meal Cook and/or designate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute all aspects of dietary requirements for clinic studies
- Preparation of menus as required according to study protocol
- Preparation of meals according to study protocol requirements
- To ensure the dietary compliance of all clinic studies. To ensure that standards for cleanliness are met in the kitchen
- Maintenance of kitchen in proper and acceptable fashion according to health requirements
- Keep and maintain all receipts and balance all monies
- Occasionally assist in serving the meals to the subjects
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Food preparation certificate or equivalent
- 2 years experience in the food industry or related experience
- Excellent communication skills including excellent English verbal and written skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other clinical staff
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Exceptional organizational skills
